About the Wellfleet Oyster Alliance
The Wellfleet Oyster Alliance (WOA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, promoting, and celebrating Wellfleet’s historic shellfishing community.
Our work supports the people, traditions, and natural resources that have made the Wellfleet oyster an internationally recognized symbol of Cape Cod. Throughout the year, WOA provides educational shellfish farm tours, scholarships, community grants, shell recycling, public art, industry advocacy and events that connect the public with Wellfleet’s working waterfront.
By partnering with WOA, sponsors help sustain a local industry, strengthen the Outer Cape economy, educate future generation, and protect the waters and habitats on which shellfishing depends.
