2026 farm tours are complete

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the flats this season!

Our Farm Tours have wrapped up for 2026, but we’ll be back next year with more opportunities to get out on the flats and learn firsthand about Wellfleet’s shellfishing community.

We hope you’ll join us in 2027!

On the famed flats of Cape Cod Bay, within the tranquil waters of Wellfleet Harbor, lives Wellfleet’s storied shellfish industry. From late June through mid-September, WOA hosts farm visits to some of the 108 aquaculture operations that call our local waters home. These low tide walking adventures offer an up-close look at what exactly goes into growing and harvesting a variety of local shellfish. If you like shucking and slurping, you are sure to love a visit to the special place that makes it all possible.

Important tour info:

• Children 12 and under are FREE and do not need a ticket. As an alternative, please consider making a donation to Wellfleet Oyster Alliance.

• Boots or shoes that can get wet are essential. Please do not wear sandals or flip-flops. Shellfish shells are very sharp and could cut bare feet!

• Instructions and tour details will be sent to ticket holders 48 hours before scheduled tour.
